Some Finishes~Spring to Finish

Daisy Chain Gray! got my hands on a charm pack of daisy chain! Engineer daughter chose the border fabrics and gray for sashing~Sheri of A Quilting Life, helped me with the particulars of how to put this quilt together. I used a big quilting machine to quilt it,used a different method for the binding on this refreshing quilt. Daughter and husband are moving to Florida, I hope this quilt will fit right in down there by the ocean.

For this House Hot Pad, I followed Nanette's tutorial. I used two layers of insul-bright, which made the quilting a bit challenging. This was a birthday gift for a friend. I tried to use colors in her kitchen, I hope she uses it!
Paintbox blocks O Fransson is to blame for my 'involvement' in these fun squares. In constructing these, you trim the blocks at two different intervals. This is a technique I'd never done before. It sure guarantees accuracy.
I'll show more later when I can get some better pictures.

Take Care~~

Hooray for finishing projects! Have you decided how you are going to put the paint pox blocks together? Hope you can get over the burn out and "keep on keeping on".

Your quilt is lovely. I am sad for you that your daughter is moving so far away. The square blocks are great. I love blocks all piled up ready to stitch together. And your potholder! I'm very flattered that you used the pattern. Thank you. It turned out so cute. I love how you put the rick rack in it. I'm going to have to sew it in the seam next time. Thanks Diane.

I love the Daisy Chain quilt. I too had purchased the FQ bundle and have yet to find the ideal pattern for it. Its will be kept out of sight for a while longer while I finish my Pumpkin Goes Wild quilt, the two Woodland Blossom quilts and the two children's lap quilts.
